At VOR, we value your time and ours! To help us provide the best care for everyone:

  • Cancellations: If you can’t make your appointment, please let us know by 3:00 PM the day before. Late cancellations will have a $50 fee, which will need to be settled before your next visit.
  • No-Shows: If you miss your appointment without letting us know, the full appointment fee will be applied to your account and must be paid before your next visit.
  • Scent-Free Clinic: To create a comfortable environment for all patients, especially those recovering from concussions, we kindly ask that perfumes or fragrances not be worn in the clinic or waiting room.

Thank you for helping us keep our schedule running smoothly and our clinic safe and comfortable for everyone.

Good news—you do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment with us!

However, some extended health care plans may require a doctor’s prescription for reimbursement. To be sure your visit is covered, we recommend checking your insurance policy beforehand.

To help us make the most of your first visit:

  • Complete your intake forms ahead of time. These will be emailed to you. Returning them before your appointment gives our providers time to review them so that your assessment won’t be shortened by paperwork.
  • Bring your insurance card (if applicable). Having it on hand helps us quickly address any coverage questions or submission issues.

This way, your first appointment can focus entirely on you and your care!

  • Assessment: Your initial appointment is usually longer so your provider can properly assess you and create a personalized treatment plan. For example, Vestibular and Post-Concussion Assessments are typically up to 75 minutes and TMJ Assessments are up to 1 hour.
  • Follow-Up Visits: Most follow-ups are 30–45 minutes, but some may be longer depending on your therapist’s recommendations and the type of treatment.

This flexible approach ensures every appointment gives your provider enough time to focus on your care.

At VOR Physiotherapy, we most often help patients with:

  • Vertigo and Dizziness – including BPPV and other vestibular & balance disorders
  • Concussions – from sports, falls, or motor vehicle accidents
  • Jaw Pain (TMJ Disorders) – including clicking, clenching, and jaw-related headaches
  • Neck and Back Pain – whether posture-related or due to injury
  • Our chiropractic and massage therapy team also assist with many other injuries.

At VOR Physiotherapy, our team is experienced in helping patients with vestibular, concussion, and jaw-related conditions, as well as providing comprehensive physiotherapy and chiropractic care. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all programs—every treatment plan is personalized to your unique needs.

During your first visit, we take the time to understand your concerns through a thorough assessment. This may include reviewing your medical history, discussing your symptoms, and guiding you through specific tests or movements to understand how your body and balance systems are functioning. This helps us identify the possible root cause of your symptoms so we can support your recovery effectively.

From there, your therapist will develop a treatment plan tailored to you, which may include vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management strategies, manual therapy, and targeted exercises to help restore movement, reduce symptoms, and improve your overall well-being.

Fun Fact: The clinic invested in advanced diagnostic technology to help assess and guide treatment. VOR was one of the first clinics in Ontario to introduce infrared goggle technology, and we continue to combine innovative tools with clinical knowledge to provide evidence-based care.
